10 Yards Range (1974 – 2023)
The performing duo of George Palmer & Herbie Werner played in venues across the New York City metro area. The duo’s lifelong frienship resulted in nearly 50 years of performing together and the recording collaboration on dozens of original songs, including some featured on local “Home Grown” radio broadcasts.
Off Hour Rockers – (1976 – 1980)
This musical and comedy trio fearured Jackie “the Jokeman” Martling, Chris Bates & Herbie Werner. Together their popularity made them headliners at Long Island’s premier music venues that typically featured globally recognized recording artists. Their hit 45 RPM singles “The Pot Song” and “To Whom This May Concern” were played on juke boxes across the metro New York City area.
PEAR – (1979 – 1983)
Chris Bates & Herbie Werner formed a pop rock duo following the departure of Jackie Martling from the Off Hour Rockers when he joined the Howard Stern Radio Show as the head writer.
Silver Lining – (1982 – 1983)
Herbie Werner, Nancy Siriani, Michael Finken & Larry Kupperman formed a 4-piece pop band playing at clubs and special events on Long Island.
Cruise Control – (2012 – 2014)
Herbie Werner sat in with four lifelong muisician friends who by the end of the gig, welcomed him as member number five.
Herbie Keys & Acoustic Dave – (2014 – 2023)
Lifelong friends got together to fill in at a catered event and discovered that their performing and mutual music interests were the perfect combo for a pop, rock and country music performing duo.
The Chuck Russel Project – (2019 – 2023)
This blues band featured many of Chuck Russell’s original blues compositions, as well as blues and rock selections from varying artists.
Herbie Keys & Tommy Perrotta – (2023)
Although short-lived, the guitar wizardry of Tommy added an entirely new dimension for this duo. Among the many musical medlies performed was a set that featured the entire second side of the Beetles’ Abbey Road album.
Viking River Cruise – (2024)
While on a river cruise vacation, I had the priviledge to sit in with a truly gifted performer, Tiago Reeves. Several of the songs I played on were captured on video and are now on YouTube, both on Tiago Reeves and my YouTube channels.
